Internet Service Provider (ISP) ZOL says it will be allowing data roll-over with effect from 1 August 2019, a move that will bring relief to users as power cuts had become a barrier for them to access their paid for internet which has also become expensive.
A Tweet by ZOL yesterday confirmed these developments.
“No need to be in a rush to use up all data before the month ends. Now you can roll-over your data into the following month. This starts on 1 August 2019,” it read.
Last month the Potraz Director-General was on record with the ICT Parliamentary Portfolio Committee saying that the regulator was working on measures to engage both ISPs and mobile network operators to ensure that data roll-over becomes a reality.
