TelOne Is Hosting A Digital Symposium

TelOne is hosting a Digital Symposium to create an appreciation of digital business strategies by interrogating various business models to enable participants to develop integrated digital transformation for their organizations.

The objective is how to best use technology to improve business performance , creating new products or re-imagining current processes. The Symposium starts tomorrow and close on Friday.

The symposium which is targeting participants from the information,communication, technology sector and the business at large will run under a number of subject areas.On digital business strategy and models focus will be on how to best use technology to improve business performance , creating new products or reimagining current processes.Direction on how an organization can take to create new competitive advantages with technology in mind, as well as modern tactics that can be used to achieve these changes are also expected to be given.

Market drivers,digital disruption,transformational opportunities and threats are some of the topics that constitute some of the subject areas that will be under discussion.Participants will get more practical information on how to respect forces that exist in the market in an era where many consumer goods and services are now universally available. Digital disruption has to do with transformation that is caused by emerging digital technologies and business models resultantly there is need for participants to understand the threats that are associated with the digital space.

Customer relations,development of transformational digital product, marketing,operational systems will also be on discussion together with how business leaders manage and understand capabilities and competencies required.

TelOne has engaged three top industry experts who will be the keynote speakers at the symposium.

Zimbabwe Information and Communication Technology (ZICT) Vice Chairman Engineer.Tororiro Isaac Chaza is one of the key speakers. He has 34 years of experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sector.He is a passionate advocate for ICT as the key economic driver and Project Management as the core leadership skill for strategy execution. He is the founder of TORCHPMO, a training and consulting company for Project Management.

Another speaker is Mr Christopher Mugaga CEO of Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce which is the largest business organization in the country in a number of key areas such as influencing policy positions and formulation, negotiating investment deals with foreign nationals and detailed profiling of investment opportunities for both domestic and international investors.He is a Commissioner with the Tariffs and Competition Commission and has extensive experience in financial consultancy and banking.

The last speaker is Mkhululi Ndlovu a technology entrepreneur who has over nineteen years of experience in software enterprise resource planning implementation, demonstrating consistent success in leading technology deployments, training and innovation. He was Instrumental in envisaging and developing innovative technology solutions for business challenges that existed in several African countries.

The line up of speakers who have demonstrated their expertise in various fields shows that TelOne want the digital symposium to have a huge impact on participants and the country at large.
