DStv has slashed their Showmax streaming services prices by 50% to its Compact and Compact Plus subscribers.
Showmax becomes the cheapest streaming service provider compared to Netflix and Amazon Video who are charging on average of $7.99 to $13.99 and $5.99 respectively whilst Showmax price tag is on R49 ($4.20).
“More and more customers are telling us they love to binge-watch box sets on DStv Catch Up and Showmax.
It’s the way the world is moving and that’s why we’re offering all our Compact Plus and Compact customers Showmax at a big discount, so they can enjoy this exceptional experience.” said Multichoice South Africa CEO Calvo Mawela.
Showmax can be accessed via DSTV Explora decoder and DStv Now app for DStv subscribers.
Although it offers series and movies that you might find on TV, Showmax is not a TV channel.
It’s a video-on-demand streaming service, which allows accessing the series and movies on a device connected to the internet, such as your smartphone or computer.
Through a subscription and when you’re signed up, you’re able to watch whatever you like, as often as you like, for as long as you like without any schedules or waiting.
