You will see a lot of people with cracked screens on their phones, its not a new thing. Taking care of touch screens is not an easy task for everyone with a mobile phone.

Our cellphones now come with bigger screens for ease of use. But the bigger the screen, the bigger the risk of damage.

Here are some of the things you have to do to take care of the touch screen of your mobile:

Don’t use nails on your touch screens

Long nails maybe a quite a good fashion accessory but they are not good for your touch screen. Touch screens are made for fingers and not your nails.

Don’t press too hard on the screen

Touch screens only require a gentle touch for them to function, touching too hard will only end up damaging the screen.

There are some fake touch screens that do not respond well to gentle touches, forcing you to press hard on them to get a response. Apparently there is little you can do to protect such a screen.

Keep phone away from direct sunlight exposure

Prolonged exposure to the sun-rays causes damage to the phone thereby disturbing a thin layer of liquid gel, which is present in the form of layer over the phone. Hence, the next time you are in your car keep it in such a place where there is no sunlight.

Keep a small cloth to clean the screen

Screens get oily and dusty at times, but rubbing them on your clothes may do more harm than good. Keep a small cloth to use to clean the screen when it need be. Some phone come with a set of cleaning clothes, one wet, one dry.

Buy a phone cover to protect the screen

Mobile phones are prone to falling, they need to be well protected to ensure they do not fall on surfaces that will damage the screen. A cover protects the screen in case of such a fall.
