#TechExchange: Ushering an Online Compliant Generation.

We have a generation that has been absorbed by social media in exchange of information of all kinds. To some, this is as a way of quenching their thirst for an aggravating attention while to others its a platform to learn. However for the few that have seen the money in exchange of information to elevate and transform their business or monetizing their ideas I raise my glass to you.

For most that have missed my glass I drive a simple question to you, what have been doing on Facebook, Whatsapp all this while? When you connect to the Internet what do you spend your time doing, making money or spending it? For most of us definitely its spending without any making of it?

We spend hours on YouTube watching all kinds of videos while waiting for customers in our shops, hours on whatsapp commenting on funny GIFs and a whole lot of bundles downloading pictures and videos. Yes we do that to entertain our minds and give some ribs some good oldie therapy but after all has been laughed out loud and sad faced we run out of data. Sometimes we laugh so hard we get hungry, the dollar becomes the next hunt, but do you know there is money in all your spending?

Possessing a candle and a lighter does not make a dark room any brighter. The candle got to be lit. We have all the tools but not the knowledge of the purpose and usage. Is it so? Or we are just ignorant to the implementations of our ever-present powers. As a business person or just a living being, you need to  do your research on all the tools that are within your reach, know them and understand how to make a dollar out of it. Do your research.

Table and Shelf selling method began centuries ago but nowadays the biggest sellers do not have all that. Money is becoming more digital than paper, cars more intelligent than drivers. WHY? Because times have changed. Do not resist the change of time and the shift of your involvement or you will find yourself selling to the ancestors.

Half full or half empty theory is no cartoon joke, its a real thing. One tree observed by four different people will be seen in four different states as per use and level of understanding, one will see firewood, another furniture and another a source fruit juice and as for me a good shade to do my programming, but its the same tree. Truth is, 21st century has brought many technologies

The same laptop that you use to watch movies all day long is a making a thousand dollar worthy of mobile apps, the same android phone you take selfies with is being used to capture state of art gallery photos for roadmap mobile apps not to mention that every day you are on Google you checking out someone else’s products, what of your own, who is checking them on-line? Make use of your tools in a profitable manner.

At one time (in a place I shall not mention) someone bought a cup of diamonds in exchange of a 2 kg packet of sugar, no joke, this is real. 7000 square meters of land gone in exchange of wheelbarrow, later on to see gold mill pitched on that land. It doesn’t require angels to come and whisper in your ears the importance of knowing your environment or the dark angels to torture you to get your senses right on all you can do that is within your reach. Know your environment.

It is so important t have all the skills necessary to drive the product where the money is, for most people the qusetion will be how to do that?

Townstech is hosting a seminar on July 8 at Barbours Departmental Store on compliance to the modern information systems as an awareness and a crash course to educate the today people on how get most out of what we have in tech world. The idea is to understand all the tools that Google, Facebook, Twitter and websites have that make your life both easier and your business profitable in the long run. The are no miracles in the tech world, its all about getting the practical involvement.

The seminar dubbed Online Compliant Generation intends to bring out the kind of generation that first understand the 21st business models and implement the right tools for the job.

Compliant Generation is an intiative to decolonise the African mind on the ignorance of what our world has become, everything has became digital and digital now mean Internet of Things, everything connected, everyone connected. This event is step of the million steps that many have took to abreast Zimbabwe with 21st way of life, a Compliant Genearation. But many would ask, what is to comply, well first is to remove ignorance and resistance to the Internet of Things, then from there we educate each other on how to grab and grasp the strategies and techniques that will see Zimbabwe and Africa as nolonger  a third world ecology but as part of the front wheels of this life.

On this seminar three key areas are going to be addressed, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing and Online Transactions. Each is going to be demystified and brought to a clear sheet of how it affects our social lives and business and also how we can manipulate to our benifit. As I mentioned earlier, its no miracle, it all requires hard work and the first step is to be part of this seminar and be enlightened and improve yourself, as James Allen once wrote in his famous book As a man thinketh, that we are what we know and we become what we constantly think. To change our knowledge on internet and digitalization will change what we think about these platforms and we can make a dollar out of every cent we put into it.
