Adding background color to the status is the in thing in 2017 which started on December 20, 2016  and you probably have been wondering how this is done.

Its not as hard as it you might perceive with the trick only availed to Android users only.  At this point, as this feature has been rolled out to Android users, everyone on Android, iOS, and the Web are  able to see the colorful status updates in their News Feeds.
The feature lets users select a color that appears behind their text status in place of the normally-white background. Several of the color options offer an Instagram logo-style color gradient, which make them more stylish and modern than boring flat colors.

It also let users fill out their profile timelines with momentous occasions throughout their lives, but it’s taken away many of these small changes as well, and it’s never actually let people get creative with colourful posts on their pages.
So, not only are Android users getting a new Facebook feature first for a change, they’re also getting to do something Facebook has never before allowed.

It’ll be interesting to see if the feature sticks. We played with it for a bit
Adding spice to status updates could help Facebook boost “original sharing” of unique personal content, as opposed to resharing of news articles and viral videos.

You are probably one of those who have been wondering how to add background to statuses.
Here is how…
1. To use Facebook’s new colour-change feature for posts, simply tap on the “What’s on your mind?” status bar,.
2. Start typing
3. Choose a colour or gradient from the choices that appear below your text.
4. When done, post it.
