You probably have been told or told someone to eat a lot of bananas when travelling a long distance to avoid asking for reses every now and then. Research has however proven that there is more to a banana than what meets the eye. No wonder monkeys are so happy all the time!

Locked inside the fruit is a golden package of an abundance of vitamins tailor made to keep animals healthy namely Vitamin B6, B12, Vitamin C, manganese and potassium.
The high levels of potassium yet low in salt stabilises blood pressure and reduces chances of stroke which makes it ideal for hypertensive patients.
Bananas are also used in the treatment of jaundice and kidney stones which is the accumulation of dissolved minerals in the kidneys creating are condition that makes urinating painful.
In addition to this, the tropical fruit keeps blood sugar levels up in a human body if consumed between meals and help avoid morning sickness.
Another set of magic under the yellow skin is its ability to make the depressed happy as it contains tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin which improve ones’ mood
Instead of one to take a strenuous 90 minute workout, it only take two bananas to provide the same energy instantly because they contain natural sugars namely sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fibre.
It is also used in the treatment of jaundice and kidney stones. The peel and pulp of ripe bananas have antifungal and antibiotic properties, which protect the plant against fungal and bacterial infections

The fruit can be used as a substitute for expensive beauty products as it can be used to provide beautiful supple skin. Rubbing the inside of the peel on your face before going to bed, leaving it overnight and washing it the next morning with warm water can just be that easy step needed for better skin type.
